Do you want to work as a truck or bus driver? If so, you must complete a YSK course at a driving school before you can take the theory test with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen). Many people find the theory test challenging, but it becomes much easier when you are well prepared.

Learning materials and theory tests

On Teoritentamen.no you can practice for the YSK qualification using digital learning resources and theory tests.

The learning material lets you study the theory through text, audio, images, video, exercises, quizzes and games. You can use it on your own or together with a class at the driving school. When it is used at the driving school, the teacher can create a digital classroom that students can join.

The theory tests are structured in the same way as the official test you take with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, with four answer options and only one correct answer for each question. The basic qualification tests contain 50 questions, and the extension tests contain 25 questions. All questions are based on the official curriculum. After you submit your answers, you receive an explanation showing why your answer is correct or incorrect. You also get statistics showing how you have performed on the tests you have taken.

12 weeks, 4 weeks, or 1 week

You can choose between three different access periods. If you choose the 12-week pass, you get access to the complete YSK package with both the learning material and the theory tests. If you already have a textbook and only need access to the theory tests, you can choose a 4-week pass or 1-week pass option. No matter which option you choose, you will have access to both freight transport and passenger transport, and you decide what you want to practice.
